Philanthropy

Following the Jewish belief in tikkun olam (repairing the world), the Iota Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Jewish Fraternity maintains humanitarian action as a guiding principle of brotherhood. Accordingly, the Iota Chapter is dedicated to aiding not only the surrounding Morningside Heights and extended Metropolitan area communities but also national philanthropic projects. This conviction for tzedakah (charity/justice) is instilled in potential brothers during the pledge education process by performing deeds of service within the community and lending a hand during planned AEPi philanthropic endeavors. This tenet is only bolstered upon entering the bond of brotherhood.

If you are interested in coordinating a philanthropy event or service project with the Iota Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity please contact , our Philanthropy Chair.

Social

Alpha Epsilon Pi is a social organization. We provide a healthy outlet in which students can enjoy college while still getting excellent grades. While our social events never interfere with our educations, we always have a good time. We throw at least two big parties a semester, have mixers with sororities, hold an annual semi-formal and formal , and consistently have house parties and other great events. AEPi parties always generate a buzz around campus and usually include a theme.

If you are interested in coordinating a social event or mixer with the Iota Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity please contact Jake Hershman and Ari Rosenblum and Jorge Ginory-Perez, our Social Chair(s).

Rush

Rush stirs the fraternity into action at the beginning of each semester. We toss footballs at midnight, savor barbecued treats, watch movies or a game on the big screen, truck out to the beach, and best of all, we invite everybody to join us! See, rush is our fraternity's opportunity to meet new students (or older students with budding interest in fraternity life), and their opportunity to meet us. Students who attend various rush events are those that are interested in getting to know the brothers of AEPi. It is a student's chance to decide if they enjoy spending time with the brotherhood and if they would accept a bid, a formal offer to begin learning about and becoming a member in the fraternity, from us.
